I want really curly hair. I'm mixed & have straight hair now. Will a perm work for or will

A perm is one of the worst things I ever did to my hair. I've spent the last nine months trying to grow it out, and I still have 6 or so inches of it left. My hair was fried. You are better off putting rollers in your hair when it is damp, with maybe a little mousse or gel, and going to bed that way. It sucks sleeping with roller head, but you have long-lasting curls the next day. Braiding damp hair and leaving the braids in until dry gives killer long-lasting waves too.

Perming is going to be perfect ... Go for it ...

Most people seem to have mixed reactions about perming. I have read good and bad comments from experts and experienced permers.

I am considering one myself, and figure, you only live once!

Is your hair naturally straight? If you straightened chemically before, wait until your hair grows out of the relaxer. To get curly hair now, use rollers or rods and set it. Wash it, set it and dry it. If you have naturally straight hair get a curly perm.Good luck!
