Wash and towel dry hair, add mousse, curl using medium size curlers, let dry over night, take curlers out, style, spray (suave for 99 cents, superhold), go !

a perm "chemically curl"

or spritz your hair and then apply heat

It's probably falling flat because it's not being set with enough heat. It sounds strange but I curl my hair with my hair straightner. It gets hotter than any curlers or curling iron out there and I just twist it at the ends to curl it all up.

Try a styling gel on it.

You have a couple of options. The first may be convenient in a pinch, but won't last as long as #2

#1

-Wash your hair %26amp; put a product in while still wet that will help shape it. (mousse, gel, silicone, etc.)

-dry it until it is damp, not too wet %26amp; not dry.

-get a set of hot rollers (these usually cost around 20 bucks). You should begin heating these while you're washing your hair.

-Immediately put the rollers in your hair. Remember the bigger the curl/wave the bigger the roller. If you want tight springy small curls, use smaller rollers.

-Spray hair with hairspray while waiting.

-After they've been in long enough for your hair to have dried, remove the rollers.

-Give your hair another quick spray %26amp; you're done.

#2

-For a longer lasting curl wash hair before you go to bed %26amp; add product.

-take rags (cut up fabric, thin socks, etc.) Wrap your still damp hair around the rag, roll up to the top of your head %26amp; tie in a knot.

-Do this all over your head with as many rags as you need.

-Go to bed with a towel under your head (or else you'll have a wet pillow)

-When you wake up the next day check if your hair is still wet. If it is then blow dry it the rest of the way dry.

-remove rags.

-You should have curls that last a while.

you should try the Got2b Glued Spiking Freeze Spray

it's a really strong product. i tried it cause i also have thick hair and it helps my hair to stay the way how i want it to be. you should test it out if it's for you. you could get it at any local store like wal mart,walgreens,....depends on the store though.
