Okay so I have straight hair too and I'm no expert, but my hair is hard to curl too. When you braid your hair have you tried braiding it when it is wet? It also depends on how long you keep it in. What I usually do when I braid my hair is get a shower in the evening and then braid it and sleep with the braids in.

If you've tried this and it doesn't work I would suggest using lots of hair spray and a curling iron. Now...I don't mean a cheap curling iron, but I'm sure people on here can give you some good brands that really work!

try setting your hair use a setting lotion and roll your hair up, and sit under a dryer for 30 to 40 minutes

Well When you are curling your hair with a curling iron add spritz.....

And when you are doinf braids as soon you get out of the shower....braid your hair (while its still wet) That way it dries into the shape of the braid. and comes out curly after you take the braids out.......Add hair spray to keep the curls in.....

How long to keep the braids in

My sister has to use a curling shampoo to help and she sets her hair in curlers and then either will sleep with them or if she's home in the morning she will do it then (like on a weekend and she's going out that night)

If you put your hair in a bun when it's wet and leave it in for awhile or until it's dry, you'll have curls.

You'll also have a ponytail lump, but you can put the upper layer in a barette.

Or you can hot curl and hairspray it.

Make sure the curls are REALLY hot.

Turn them on and let them warm up for like an hour or so.

I use to moisten strips of hair and use sponge curlers at night. If I did this while my hair was still "wet" the curl was to much in the morning. Using the sponge curlers was easy to sleep on and the curl lasted a couple of days which was time for a shampoo anyway. The price we pay for beauty!

use Hair Moose... Wet Your hair and put the moose on your hands and then scrunch the hair up..
