A. work on your straightening skills
and
B. buy some other products.
A. What i do to be a pro straightener is i take a shower at night blow dry my hair and straighten my hair the night before. using my straightening skills I put half my hair on top of my head with a hair band, and then i straighten by sides the stuff that is still down by layers and sections. Then I do the top. Then I wake up, and it gets a little wavy so i do the same proccess (minus the shower )in the morning.
B. You probablly will need to buy a straightening hair shampoo or hairspray to make your hair straighter, because there isn't much you can do with a cruddy straightener. or you will have to save up for a new straightener.

get a japanese straightening treatment. it's the best investment you can make if you want straight hair. this can start as low as $200 depending on the salon and your hair length. i've recommended at least 10+ people to my stylist and everyone is very happy they did it. even the ones that were hesitant were so happy with the results.
you can straighten your hair much easier and most likely will be able to get away without even drying or flat ironing it if you're on the go.
you'll probably need to do it about every 6 months to touch up your roots. no biggie.
don't worry about damage. if it even gets damaged just use great conditioning treatments to get best results. i recommend using ABBA leave in conditioner in addition to your regular conditoning routine. trust me, everyone thanks me for that tip!
