I don't know about the hair of the blacks in USA but here in South African all of them have curly hair. Shall I say very tight curly hair. Unless the hair is straightened or treated to become less "tight curled" but more manageable.

I am not funny but the one thing I really like about my hair is the fact that it is straight and not curly, for if and when I like, I can make it curly and then ...... I can have it straight.

But I have already notices that the black women in the USA have lovely straight hair, I don't know the reason, can somebody tell me?

Could simply be choice. After all, hair styles go in and out of fashion.

However, there is often a Eurocentric view in the professional realm. Men can keep their hair short, but there is a stigma that women's professional hair means straight hair styles. I've heard people say that braids and 'fros are too "ethnic" and unprofessional. Riiight, because we all must emulate one hair texture and hair style without regard for genetics? I know women who do keep their hair very short and they are questioned for their unfeminimity. So what's a gal to do?

It's not always the case, but I've heard too many unguarded opinions.

Some of us Black Women, like myself use ''relaxer products'' to straighten our hair. Most Black Men wear theirs natural.

Black men don't usually go through the trouble. If they do it is called a Gerry curl. This is where they relax their hair and then use perm rods to re-curl their hair in a looser not so frizzy curl.

women have stright hair because they straighten it, and contrary to popular belife this is not always done by chemicals. (it can be done by heat)

some black women use relaxers to straighten their hair. some have hair weave to lenthen their hair as well as to obtain a smooth sleak look. some black women prefer to style their natural hair: with some having straight hair texture that requires none of the above, or other styles such as fro's, dreads, or wavy hair.

same thing with black men. some prefer the natural look. some like the bald look. some like the braided look.

just a matter of personal preferance within a culture.

Well, *all* black women don't have straight hair or straighten their hair. I don't. I know an increasing amount of black women that are learning to embrace their natural hair texture.

All Black women do not have straight hair...My hair is wavy...Not curly, not straight. Just like other races we have many different hair colors and textures. Please go read some Biology books and learn about genetics.

I have wavy hair(natural) not straight, not all black guys have curly hair. Depends on who you are looking at, some have afros, wavy, or curly hair. If a black women has straight hair she could be mixed or she put a chemical in it.

Some Black women use perms or a hot comb inorder for their hair to become straight. If you notice, men like Snoop Dogg have straight hair-due to perms. I think the opposite happens when White people use a perm. I think their hair becomes curly.

My hair is short and i use a texturizer to keep the curls loose and cute. I use botanicals texturizer for the control it gives my hair. I have had it straight but it was not me so i went back to my roots. I have never had a better feeling of beauty than being me.
