to get extra straight hair use a chi straightener. usually the longer the hair, the thicker the width of the straightener. i use one, as well as all of my friends and it works like magic!

I had this problem...
I suggest that you should get some GHD hair straighteners... they work amazingly well and leav eyour hair poker straight all day... the only downside is that they are quite expensive!!

My only other advice is to use a straightening cream on your hair, as well as a heat protectant, and try drying your hair as straight as you can before you straighten it. I recommend this straightening/thermal protecting cream...

If you're looking for a permanent fix, try getting your hair rebonded. It's a bit expensive ($200-$500), but it works wonderfully, looks natural, and will stay straight until your hair starts to grow again. It's a really long procedure (anywhere from 2-8 hours), but as I said, it's really worth it in the end! This isn't the best for very tightly-curled hair, but if you have frizzy hair (like I did), it'll definitely work.
