I don't know if you have long hair or not. If your hair is long you should go for a buz cut like your Avatar that way you don't have to brush it its neat and it will stop the frizz.

I have really thick straight hair also. I put styling mousse and gel in it and give it a messy look, so no comb is necessary. Without the styling products, my hair is 'poofy,' even after trying to comb it. Mousse especially helps because it holds your hair down, but doesn't make it hard.
