I have the same problem but what best best works for me is using any type of hair spray like (SUAVE) and just curl it with the curling iron....that way the heat of the curling iron dries the spray which make the curls last waaaay longer........Try it;)

I have the same problem and something that I do that helps a lot is I get a body wave perm. It's not super curly and it is easy to straighten. It helps my hair hold any type of curl I put in it. I love it bunches! Also a good product that I like better than hairspray to use is Aussie Dual mousse and leave in conditioner. That stuff is great and is not stiff at all.

first of all place your hair i curlers when damp pnce dried take these out it will leave your hair all big and volumised. then get curlying tongs spray some elvive hairspray all over the hair then use the curlying tongs. once finished spray hair again with hairspray and then use some charles worthington serum to smooth curls.

mine doesnt hold curls either. once i was going to a bar mitzvah and i was wearing braids the day before and when i took them out it was wavy, but i knew this wouldnt stay so i curled it then put it in curlers for the night and when i woke up i curled my hair again. it looked good, but by the time i got to the bar mitzvah, my hair was pin straight again!!! so you should take this advice from me: use hair spray to spray the part of hair you want to curl, then curl it and add more hair spray. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR HAIR AT ALL DURING OR AFTER THIS PROCESS! work carefully and slowly and it will work. my cousin showed me this and it worked on me. i hope it works with you too. good luck!!!=)

Goody has a line of overnight curlers that i use and LOVE! they're spongy and easy to sleep in. take a shower or bath b4 u go 2 bed so ur hair is wet, then put them in (the more the curlier) and in the morning, take them out, brush them llightly with a curry comb and spray with extra hold ani humidity hairspray from garnier. hope that works 4 u!
